It took us 3 years before we realized we need to go back to Mexico to get our fix of paradise. Staying at the Grand Palladium in Riviera Maya, we experienced another mega-resort, all-inclusive of course. Every day we would wake up and get our pool chairs saved so that we could have a front row seat at the pool. We would take long walks on the beach and indulge in strawberry daiquiris.

I remember snorkeling being really good here. I also believe we took a trip to Playa Del Carmen for shopping and walking around. That's always a really fun place to go off the resort. They have tons of shops and restaurants to try authentic Mexican food. One thing we love about the Grand Palladium is that it is HUGE! We were always able to walk somewhere new and see new things without even leaving the resort. On the downside, if you needed to go back to the room it was about a 7 minute walk to get back. Also, the balcony was nice, although no real view if staying in certain buildings.

This trip we took a taxi to Akumal Bay to snorkel with the sea turtles. I wasn't amazingly impressed with the snorkeling aside from the turtles, but I did see a bunch of turtles for the first time which was really cool. There's no coral reef here so there's not much to see under the water aside from the turtles.
