6 Reasons Why I Love All Inclusive Resorts

Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, you name it. All-Inclusive's (AI's) have always been a polarizing topic to travelers, it seems like you either love them or you hate them there's no in between.

I love all-inclusive resorts and keep reading to find out why. As a travel advisor who specializes in booking beach vacations, it's hard for me to find my clients better value than you can find at AI's which is why hundreds of thousands of people keep going back year after year. In addition to the value, they appeal to soooo many different types of travelers! So here are my top 8 reasons why I love them so much!

1. You can leave the wallet at home: (Kind of!) Simply put all-inclusive means just that, everything's included! Well, maybe not EVERYTHING... but most things yes. All-Inclusive's typically factor in all dining, snacks, meals, appetizers, and alcoholic drinks; (some resorts even including top shelf liquor). Many resorts even offer speciality coffee, non-motorized water sports, room service, poolside games/activities, etc. already included in the package price! No need to worry about pulling your credit card out to pay for lunch at the pool.

2. Budgeting: AI's are SUPER easy to budget for because you know you don't have to pay for varying meal/drink prices throughout the whole trip! If your budget for your family Christmas trip is $5,000 then you know that if your trip costs less than that, it's super easy to stay within your budget! So if you're on a strict budget, AI is a great way to go!

3. Great Value: AI's can provide great value. Notice how I say "can" as not all AI's are built the same. Some resorts like the Valentin Imperial and the Excellence properties have really great food and drink options for great pricing. (Working with a travel advisor is KEY to finding the resorts with the best VALUE! In most cases with travel, cheaper doesn't always mean better.) As an advisor who specializes in these all inclusive resort areas, I know exactly which resorts are worth the price, and even more importantly which resorts you want to stay awayyyy from.

4. Stress-Free Experience: Once you arrive at an all-inclusive resort, you can leave the logistics to the staff. There's no need for you to worry about finding restaurants or deciding on activities; everything is conveniently available on the resort premises whenever you want to partake in them. This allows you to focus on ultimate relaxation and enjoying your vacation.

5. Unlimited Food & Drink: Arguably one of the best perks of an AI is that the food and drink possibilities are endless and unlimited. You will not go hungry (or thirsty) here! You want your dinner entree at the Asian teppanyaki restaurant but want to get the Tiramisu for dessert at the Italian restaurant? No problem, go to both. A mimosa (or 2) with breakfast, frozen drinks at the pool/beach all day long, vodka soda, cocktails, and more with dinner, are ALL included in the price! If you're heavy drinkers, I highly suggest staying All-Inclusive.

6. Family-Friendly: If you have little ones at home and want to start creating travel memories with them as well, AI's are the best resorts to go to as so many of them cater so well to families. I'm talking kids club, waterparks with splash pads all the way up to huge slides, game rooms, etc. Resorts like Nickelodeon even have character meet and greets which are perfect for the kids.
